This is the section dedicated to policy makers and decision makers related to STEM education at institutional, regional and national level.
As STEM education is part of the already open and heavily cooperating education and training sectors across the EU, it also a place to inform EU-level policy makers.
TeachSTEM is home to resources developed under the Artifex project, co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme of the EU. While most of our work was dedicated to resources promoting STEM education and helping educators in integrating STEM innovative practices, we have also studied and collected insights and cooperative models.
All this has been put together in the Artifex Book which has 3 chapters:
In the first chapter, you can find interviews with STEM professionals about their work, and the skills that they perceive as important. In the second chapter, we discuss necessary STEM skills of students, and how teachers can stimulate their development. We also go in more depth about how teachers experience this competence stimulation. In the third chapter, we provide a theoretical Fablab model, and some good practices from across Europe. These practices include Fablabs, Makerspaces and other open learning environments.
Interviews with current holders of STEM-related occupations - their stories, how their work is rapidly changing and what are the challenges ahead. Our interviewees shared their vision for the future of their occupations. Read online or download the pdf from here.
